I would like to open my website with a dedication to my three children, Tarrah, Kristy and Brant. Thank you for putting up with your horse addicted mother! The colors of my website reflect your birthstones. None of my children had a strong desire to pursue equines like I do, but there is hope - I have 2 six year old grandgirls I’m working on!

My name is Diana Burhart-Adell I own and operate, Quarterborder Horses, Breeding and Sales as well as Broken A Reproduction Center. At the tender age of two when my dad sat me on his stallion, Buddy, I forever was in love. Little Britches Rodeo, 4-H, MHSRA, NHSRA and NBHA was my passion throughout my younger years. I started off on the faster side, riding and breeding race bred quarter horses, then I switched to cutting/cow bred and took up team penning and ranch sorting. I believe these disciplines are every bit as exhilarating as speed. I have also produced 3 mares that went international to Germany, the Netherlands and Mexico and have been a breeder for 28 years. I concentrate on great bloodlines with flashy color, and of course, disposition, conformation and athleticism.

  • Diana was kind enough to send us two well papered fillies to start for her.  Both fillies were quick to learn, very cowy, and in your pocket horses.  They arrived to us socialized and halter broke which made the starting process even easier.  Both fillies have gone on to be fine mares.  One filly sold at the Best of the Midwest Sale for almost double what we had anticipated.  The second filly went on to earn 4th place at the RSNC World Finals Non-Pro Futurity in 2025.  We are so proud to have been part of their success.  The horses lucky enough to be born at Quarter Border Horses are just that, lucky.  The facility is clean, the owner is beyond knowledgeable and has a high standard of quality and care for her mares, studs, and colts.  The most important quality however, is honesty.  All of the knowns are presented upfront and to the best of Diana's ability.  A horse that comes from this facility will be a great addition to your ranch.
